Curtis Glencross had 13 goals and 40 points in 74 games for the Calgary Flames last season.

Status: Calgary Flames left wing.

Ht: 6-foot-1 Wt: 195

DOB: December 28, 1982 In: Kindersley, Sask.

Hockey Inspirations: “I like the way Mike Modano, Doug Gilmour and Jeremy Roenick played. They’re gritty and good skaters and all that kind of stuff. That’s kind of where I came from.”

Nicknames: “Glenny; Curt.”

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: “I love to go boating in the summertime. Golf. I travel with my buddy racing chuck wagons in the summer.”

First Hockey Memory: “My first trip playing hockey when I was four and I played on two hockey teams – my mom’s hometown and then the town we lived in. So it was kinda cool just playing on two teams at one time.”

Favorite Movies: “There’s a lot of good ones. One of the old times is Top Gun.”

Last Book Read: “Don’t even remember (laughs).”

Favorite TV Show: “Right now, would have to be Californication.”

Musical Tastes: “I like my country. And I’m a big fan of Nickleback.”

First Job: “Working at a livestock auction market for my dad.”

First Car: “Would be a 1992 Jeep Cherokee.”

Current Car: “I have a Cadillac Escalade.”

Pre-Game Feeling: “I just try to stay as calm and composed as I can. And just try to think about the game and what I’ve got to do out there.”

Favorite Meal: “Either sushi or a steak.”

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: “I like tiger.”

Greatest Sports Moment: “I’d have to say one of my first times playing back in Canada, when I was playing in the States (with Columbus) and I scored in overtime to win the game, Hockey Night In Canada, Saturday night, back home against Calgary.”

Most Painful Moment: “Would have to be the – always getting sent down to the minors, when you’re just trying to get yourself going or whatever. And to get sent down to the minors has to be one of the toughest things.”

Favorite Uniforms: “That’s a tough decision. I’m not sure.”

Favorite Arena(s): “It’s pretty tough to beat the atmosphere in the Canadian cities.”

Closest NHL Friends: “One of my good buddies now is Adam Pardy.”

Funniest Player Encountered: “Andre Roy is pretty funny. He’s always out there joking around, so he keeps everybody loose.”

Most Memorable Goal: “Would probably be my overtime winner that I scored. So far.”

Strangest Game: “Seems like I get a lot of chances in the game, most of the time. And sometimes it doesn’t work out for you. Like, I’ve had games where I’ve had seven shots on goal and didn’t get a goal. And you’re wondering, ‘When is it going to come?’ And the next game you have one shot and it goes in.”

Embarrassing Hockey Memory: “Scoring on my own net.”

Last Vacation: “I went to Mexico.”

Favorite Non-Hockey Sport To Watch: “It would have to be golf and chuck wagon racing (smiles).”

Favorite Players To Watch: “I like to watch guys who bring…guys like Joe Thornton and guys like that; who can play every aspect of the game and are so good at what they do.”

Personality Qualities Most Admired: “Just good, honest, down to earth people.”
