First Hockey Memory: “Winning tournaments when I was eight or nine. Driving around with your team and winning tournaments.”

Hockey Inspirations: “Grew up watching Mario Lemieux a lot. Being French I liked Luc Robitaille. And I was fortunate to play with him.”

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: “During the season I’m a fan of all the shows out there. In the off-season it’s playing golf and boating on the lake.”

Nicknames: “My nickname has been Belly my whole life. I don’t know why because I’m a skinny guy.”

Favorite Movie: “I have a lot of good movies. Wedding Crashers is a good one.”

Favorite TV Show: “24.”

Musical Tastes: “Mike Broussard is my favorite singer.”

First Job: “Was delivering Sears catalog.”

Current Car: “I have a Mercedes S550 Four-matic AMG (black on black).”

Pre-game Feeling: “Always the same, getting into my routine, telling myself I’m gonna feel good, I’m gonna play good.”

Favorite Meal: “Sushi.”

Favorite Uniforms: “I’d say the Montreal Canadiens or Chicago Blackhawks.”

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: “Vanilla.”

Greatest Sports Moment: “Scoring, my first year in the NHL in L.A., scoring an overtime goal against the Detroit Red Wings in the first round of the playoffs.”

Most Painful Moment: “I think it’s when I broke my toe in two places taking a shot from Kovalchuk in Atlanta.”

Favorite Arena: “Bell Centre.”

Strangest Game: “In Atlanta one time I went in the shootout and I took a shot and the glass broke in the back. And it took like 25 minutes to change it. And we still had shooters to go. A long time sitting on the bench for a shootout.”

Most Memorable Goal: “In overtime against Detroit in 2001 playoffs.”

Closest NHL Friends: “Is probably Ian Laperriere, Philippe Boucher.”

Funniest Player Encountered: “Was…funniest player was probably…I don’t know…Sean Avery was pretty funny, but in a bad way. But, no, I have to say (Andrew) Brunette is pretty funny here.”

Toughest Competitors: “Is probably when I played against Scott Stevens for the Devils.”

Funny Hockey Memory: “Junior, we took one of the guys’ car, we took his key and put it in – you know all the snow goes into one place in a lot? We put the car into the mountain of snow. He couldn’t get it out of there. So he got out of the rink and his car was in like the mountain of snow.”

Embarrassing Hockey Memory: “I got my jersey stuck when I was with Carolina, in Colorado. I hit a guy and my jersey got stuck in the glass. And I couldn’t get it out. So I was stuck like this. It’s on YouTube, it’s pretty funny.”

Favorite Players To Watch: “I don’t watch hockey much when I don’t play. But when I do I like to watch Ovechkin.”

Last Vacation: “Was Florida, South Beach.”

Personality Qualities Most Admired: “Back up what they say. When they say something in the room, go on the ice and do it.”
