DOB: October 30, 1981 In: Little Rock, Arkansas

Track Inspirations: “Jackie (Joyner-Kersee). I didn’t really pay attention to track. Mo – my big brother Maurice.”

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: “Fashion design. Painting and drawing. And sleeping [smiles]. Gotta finish school. Trying to focus on that.”

Favorite Movies: “Nothing scary. I don’t like any scary movies. That movie Drag Me To Hell – no. I’ll be like this the whole time [covers eyes]! I like comedy and kinda like love stuff.”

Last Book Read: “I’m actually really into Bible study right now.”

Favorite TV Show: “Between Lincoln Heights and Lost.”

Musical Tastes: “Aaliyah. Anybody that can sing, that can really, truly sing.”

First Track Memory: “First time going to Junior Olympics and I didn’t make it (100 meters). A whole lot of other people made it and I didn’t make it. I was the smallest kid, my uniform didn’t fit, I had to tie it all up. I had a little afro. Looked like a little boy. Everybody else was like a grown woman.”

Favorite Meal: “Probably between spaghetti and, I don’t know, Ramen noodles and peanut butter [laughs]. It’s simple.”

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: “Butter pecan.”

Pre-Race Feeling: “(Think about) pushing the first 30 meters. And then lifting the rest.”

Childhood Dream: “I don’t know. I’ll say WNBA. That’s what it was. I think I’m gonna still try out [smiles].”

Current Car: “I got a BMW (black).”

First Job: “Never had one.”

Greatest Sports Moment: “I would say runnin’ 11:36 out of high school.”

Most Painful Moment: “Ooooh, pulling my hamstring.”

Favorite Places To Compete: “New York, because I go shopping [laughs]. And I would say – I gotta think – I like when we go to Crete. For Athens we stayed in Crete. Oh, it was great.”

Embarrassing Career Memory: “Falling after the 100 at Junior Nationals in North Carolina.”

Most Memorable Race: “Making the (Olympic) team in ‘04 in my 200 race.”

People Qualities Most Admired: “Really humble people. I mean, I don’t really talk to a lot of people but if they can get my attention, it must be something special about them.”

Career Accomplishments: Won gold medal as part of the USA 4×100 team relay at 2005 World Championships; Competed in the 2008 Olympic 100 and 200 meter finals – placing 5th and 4th, respectively.
