Musical Tastes: “I listen to everything, Outkast, T.I.”

Last Book Read: “I don’t really read books like that.”

First Job: “I don’t even remember. Oh, Boys Club in Atlanta.”

Current Car: “Cadillac DeVille (silver).”

Pre-Race Feeling: “Just concentrate on my race plan.”

Favorite Meal: “I like lobster.”

Greatest Sports Moment: “2008 Beijing Olympics. (Why?) Because nobody thought I would be there, I was the underdog and I ran the fastest time in my career.”

Most Painful Moment: “I don’t know. I had a lot of them moments. I guess my most painful moment was 2001 after winning the Olympics, not making it to the final of the World Championships. I was in very good shape. Very good shape. But I got a sinus infection and I was weak and took a beating.”

Favorite Places To Compete: “I love Zurich. Crowd is electric. Track is fast. It’s a great meet to compete at.”

Favorite Athletes To Watch: “Dwight Phillips in the long jump. Terrance Trammel in the 110 hurdles. And LaShaun Merritt in the 400.”

Funny Career Memory: “I think the funniest moment, to me, was my jock strap broke in the middle of one of my races. Oh my goodness, it was in Switzerland – Lausanne, ‘99 or 2000. I could not believe this, right in the middle of the race. Came off a hurdle – snap. I think I got second to Derrick Adkins.”

Last Vacation: “Puerto Rico.”

Favorite Sport To Watch Outside Track: “Basketball.”

Most Memorable Race: “Is 2000 Games, out of lane one.”

Childhood Dream: “Football player, wide receiver, Atlanta Falcons.”

People Qualities Most Admired: “I like to see genuine people. I like to be around geniune people.”
