Status: New York Rangers right winger

Ht: 6-foot-2 Wt: 192 pounds

DOB: March 16, 1984 In: London, Ont.

Hockey Inspirations: “Growing up I was a Leafs fan, so I was a big Wendel Clark fan.”

First Hockey Memory: “I played just within the city back home, in London, and just played with the same guys for my first, probably, 12 years of my life. Just that group of guys, we had a lot of fun and that’s probably one of the reasons why I love hockey so much.”

Nicknames: “‘Prusty’ is pretty much the main one. Nothing too crazy.”

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: “Sports. I like golfing in the summer, baseball. Growing up as a kid, I played soccer. Just always playing sports.”

Favorite Movies: “Major League – baseball movie.”

Last Book Read: “It’s been a while. A war book – The Eagle Had Landed.”

Musical Tastes: “More of a rock guy – Staind, Rise Against.”

Favorite TV Shows: “Seinfeld, Family Guy.”

First Job: “Golf course greens-keeper.”

First Car: “Acura Integra (white).”

Current Car: “I drive an SIT8 Grand Cherokee (black) in the summer. Right now, I actually don’t have a car.”

Favorite Meal: “Steak and lobster.”

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: “Chocolate.”

Pre-game Feeling: “Going through all the things that can happen out on the ice. Just going through all of them, getting mentally focused.”

Greatest Sports Moment: “I’d say playing in the NHL is a great moment in itself. I would say, for championships, winning the Memorial Cup in London is probably one of the greatest achievements.”

Most Painful Moment: “Breaking my jaw. (How?) Elbow. (Who?) Cam Janssen, St. Louis.”

Favorite Uniforms: “Gotta be the New York Rangers – blue.”

Last Halloween Costume: “I think I was a jail security guard.”

Closest NHL Friends: “Matt Gilroy, Eric Nystrom. Made a lot of friends along the way.”

Funniest Player Encountered: “Carsen Germyn. Linemates with him for three years. Just one of the funniest characters I’ve ever met.”

Toughest Competitor Encountered: “I’d say Cam Janssen is one of them. (Why?) Me and him always have a battle and we respect each other, but when the puck drops, it’s usually time to go.”

Favorite Players To Watch: “I had a chance going after school and watching Wendel Clark and Doug Gilmour. Right now, obviously Ovechkin is one of the most exciting players to watch.”

Funny Hockey Memory: “Andre Roy was a funny guy when we were with Calgary. I wasn’t even a part of this, but I heard about it. And I think ‘Torts’ was the coach (when Roy played for John Tortorella in Tampa Bay). With Roy walking up and down the aisle of the airplane, bringing everybody cookies, he had nothing on but the stewardess apron. Nothing on but that and serving cookies to everybody (smiles). And I heard it was in the Stanley Cup final. One of the funniest stories I’ve heard.”

Embarrassing Hockey Memory: “One year in junior I probably missed about eight open nets – empty-netters. Didn’t live that down too much (smiles).”

Favorite Sport Outside Hockey: “Football.”

People Qualities Most Admired: “Kindness. And sincerity.”
