First Memory Of Art: “My mother said I used to draw on her furniture. I think the first memory is doing drawings in grade school.”
Inspirations: “Just something I felt I wanted to do and had to do. And I suspect that was my inspiration. It was not any one artist that I saw his work, I guess it just came from inside.”
Favorite Artists: “Well I like de Gaulle, I like Gustav Klimt. He was around the turn of the century. He was very stylized painting portraits. A lot of color, a lot of design.”
Last Book Read: “Oh boy, I’m not much of a reader. I can’t even remember what it is.”
Favorite Movie: “Probably Casablanca.”
First Job: “Was a commercial illustrator in Detroit.”
Current Car: “Mazda Miata (bronze color).”
Favorite Meal: “My wife’s Italian cooking.”
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: “Butter pecan.”
Pre-Work Feeling/Mindset: “Probably get inspired by something I see, whether it be a photo I took or something in a magazine, a picture of something usually inspires me to do a painting.”
Greatest Career Moment: “My children and grandchildren. As an artist – there are a lot of good ones.”
Most Painful Moment: “Probably when I client doesn’t like something I do.”
Most Memorable Work: “Probably the oil paintings of my grandchildren.”
Embarrassing Art Memory: “Can’t think of one off hand.”
Favorite Subjects: “Is painting people, doing figurative work.”
People Qualities Most Admired: “Honesty. Integrity.”
Funny Art Memory: “There’s another customer by the name of Charlie Passarelli at the art store I go to – Jerry’s Artarama in Deerfield Beach.”

Dear Mr. Passarelli
I have a painting, not sure if it is your painting or not. It is a picture of a woman sitting on a bed holding a book “Naming Baby” at the bottom of the picture it states ” the Naming The Bendectin Series with your name Charles Passarelli signed in pencil” could you tell me if you are the artist on this painting?
