Basketball Inspiration: “Magic Johnson. He always supported his teammates. Always. Even when they were down. I always liked that part of his game. Growing up on the west coast I got to see him a lot. I dreamed of following in his footsteps.”

Favorite Movies: “Godfather I, II, III.”

First Job: “Cleaning and preparing houses to be shown (age 15).”

First Car: “1987 silver Toyota van.”

Nicknames: “Whiz Kid, Jay, JKidd, Justin. (“…That’s what Michael Jordan called Jason when he was speaking to our team,” informed former Cal teammate Lamond Murray. “We all thought he knew who Jason was. It was so funny that we started calling him Justin.”)

Early Basketball Memory: “When Dr. J slam dunked on Michael Cooper (during 1983 NBA Finals). It was incredible.”
