Status: Drummer for Biohazard.

DOB: August 7 In: Brooklyn, NY

First Music Memory: “Listening to the Black Sabbath album, I was four-years-old.”

Music Inspirations: “Black Sabbath, Bad Brains, Ramones, Led Zeppelin.”

Last Book Read: “Life by Keith Richards. I finished it yesterday.”

Hobbies/Interests: “Mixed martial arts, running, making babies [laughs].”

Favorite Movies: “That would be Goodfellas. It’s about my old neighborhood. Raging Bull – because that’s just the greatest movie ever made. 300 – that’s how I feel sometimes.”

First Job: “Folding up pizza boxes on Avenue L in Brooklyn. (Name of pizza place?) Dominos, but it wasn’t the Dominos we have now. The guy’s name was Dominic.”

Current Car: “1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue.”

Favorite Meal: “Anything my wife makes, usually something vegan.”

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: “I don’t really eat ice cream.”

Favorite TV Show: “I don’t know. My wife watches the TV. She gets me into some shows, I don’t even know what they’re called.”

Childhood Dream: “I wanted to be a drummer in a rock band. And be a dad.”

Pre-performance Feeling: “Can’t wait till it’s over. No, just kidding. Just focused and getting ready, that’s all.”

Greatest Career Moment: “Hopefully I haven’t had it yet. But I know there’s been a lot of ‘em. Just having a career has been pretty great. Long moment, you know?”

Most Painful Moment: “Lots. Been a million of ‘em. Probably watching a bunch of guys who used to be really great friends not be friends anymore, you know? Seeing it all fall apart over some stupid ****. I’ve seen it happen to many bands. That’s the worst part of all this. Because the meaning of it – rock, music, f***** fun. You know what I mean? Can’t take it too serious.”

Most Memorable Performance: “Not really. All of them. I actually remember them all, to be honest with you.”

Embarrassing Career Memory: “Not really. Everything I’ve ever done, I always meant to. Meant to do it. So I’m not embarrassed by anything.”

Strangest Performance: “We played all kinds of shows. When we first started out we did hardcore punk in squats, places like that. Where, after the show was over and they’d clean off the floor and say, Okay, that’s where you guys can sleep tonight. We did a lot of that. Biohazard came from an era where bands lived in their vans and lived in a U-Haul. We did that for a long time. The first time we got a tour bus, we were like, Wow, who’s paying for this? Seven years after we started. I remember we were on tour with a band called Fishbone. Our van had been stolen on Utica Ave. in Brooklyn. Our manager was like, You guys gotta do this tour. But we don’t have a van anymore. (He said) Well, you guys can get a tour bus. (We said) Well, who’s paying for that? But we worked it out. Around ‘94, ‘95.”

Favorite Live Performers: “I just saw a video of Black Sabbath from 1969. It was like so f***** incredible. So f***** incredible. The most amazing shit. I don’t think bands do that anymore. Not too sound old. I just don’t think bands do that any more. I loved Black Sabbath, the original Black Sabbath. Bad Brains were incredible. Seeing the original Bad Brains in Brooklyn was a life-changing experience for me. I saw them in Irving Plaza too. They were an unbelievable band.”

Funny Career Memory: “Any tour we did with Pantera was pretty f***** funny [laughs]. Which was a lot of them, we did a lot of touring with Pantera back in the day. Every night was a comedy routine. We were really lucky to have a lot of friends. Play a lot of great shows. Be around for a long time. We were really lucky.”

People Qualities Most Admired: “I like people who are good people. If you are a dick or a c***sucker, I got no patience for people who suck. Just be a good person. There’s nothing wrong with that. Nobody is too cool to be good for everybody. I like people so I’m not an asshole. But there’s some people who don’t like anybody. But if they don’t like anybody, they don’t like themselves.”
